ACEO commission - Supernatural Mon, 25 May 2009 22:56:26 GMT

Three multi-card commissions from the popular series Supernatural. I can't really claim to be a fan myself, but I admit they have fantastic taste in their soundtrack.
Ink, prismacolor marker and various things for effects on 2.5x3.5" cards.

March Of Dimes charity Auctions UP Tue, 05 May 2009 05:52:39 GMT
The first round of cards for Steve's March of Dimes fundraiser have been put up on ebay, including Jacob Black by yours truly. The matching Alice Cullen and a Shadowcat will be following in the near future, as more cards are listed.
Also check out the Archie official sketch card set, with proceeds going to March of Dimes.
If you're Canadian and like the idea but not into donating to American based charities, please consider tossing a donation towards the IWK Health Centre, another establishment quite near and dear to my heart.

ACEO - Speedy/Arsenal & Black Canary Tue, 21 Apr 2009 13:34:55 GMT

And sometimes I draw for gits and shiggles. I got on a DC kick, I expect the next time I'll swing back to Marvel's merry band of mutants, those seem to be my two extremes.

ACEO - Maia Roh & Queen Anthai Mon, 20 Apr 2009 18:50:20 GMT

It is a little known fact that Dayna, lovely co-host of the made_of_fail_pc podcast (which you should all go listen to), wrote 2 1/2 novels (which you should all go read... if she lets you). Sketches of her characters are some of my earliest work still found online (circa 2000!), and I got a soft spot for them still.
This is Maia Roh (left) and Queen Anthai (right) of 7Stars. Ink, prismacolor marker, white deleter ink and some white sketch pencil on 2.5 x 3.5 inch cards.

ACEO commission - X-23 Tue, 14 Apr 2009 08:53:35 GMT

I kinda prefer Rina Logan as the "daughter of Wolverine", but dang is Laura an interesting girl all on her own. Wish I'd found the opportunity to draw her sooner.
Ink, Prismacolor and deleter white on 2.5x3.5 inch cards.

ACEO commission - Dexter Mon, 13 Apr 2009 05:03:42 GMT

I was asked for a card of Dexter, and ended up doing two. This is my favorite of the pair... no doubt influenced by my fetish for things with wings. >.>
Ink, prismacolor marker and sharpie on a 2.5 x 3.5 inch card.

ACEO - Liz, Greta & Dot Knight Sun, 12 Apr 2009 08:25:20 GMT

I killed the second scanner within 4 months, and broke down and bought a new one. I hate calibrating scanners with a passion, and software that thinks it's smarter than me. Hopefully this looks close to okay.
Liz, Greta and Dot Knight are sort of the reverse-Bailey of the Colt-verse, three bounty hunting sisters instead of two bounty hunting brothers and a third in training. Sometimes I pretend they'll have their own spinoff, till then they're lucky they got art at all.
Ink, prismacolor marker and some deleter white ink on 2.5x3.5 inch cards.

Sketchbook - God's gonna... (John & Julia) Thu, 02 Apr 2009 08:01:21 GMT

From CK's Sketchbook #4 (forthcoming... sometime... hopefully soon). Bounty Hunter John Halstead with his charmingly violent daughter Julia, with text from "God's Gonna Cut You Down", Johnny Cash version. Ballpoint pen in sketchbook.

Later today brings Animedia Fest 2009 - I will be there Thursday and Friday, with the probability of not getting home till it's over. Then back to commissions and e-mail, apologies to those I didn't manage to contact before this comm blackout, y'all are not far from my thoughts.

Commission ACEO - Captain Jack Sparrow & Sweeney Todd Fri, 27 Mar 2009 13:48:33 GMT

A little bit older... a pair of commissions for a Johnny Depp fan of (Captain!!) Jack Sparrow and Sweeney Todd. I hope to make more of a series of this in the future, up to and including 21 Jumpstreet.

Convention Sketch - Rorschach x2 Tue, 17 Mar 2009 01:25:05 GMT

A pair of convention sketches done a couple of weeks ago, during Animaritime. As always, if the owner(s) can give me a scan instead of the photos I take with my cheap digicam, it is greatly appreciated :)

Pinup - Black Canary Sat, 14 Mar 2009 17:38:42 GMT

This has also been posted @DeviantArt.
I've been having more than a few issues with webhosting lately, for various reasons. If you've come across this blog through blogger (@ckwashere), livejournal (@ck_was_here), or on my own domain (cwh.virtualcara.net), they're all the same thing, and I'll be going through the LJ archives to mirror the old posts on Blogger at a later date.

Pinup - Baroness Tue, 26 Aug 2008 08:00:57 GMT

After the Baroness ACEO I was asked for another, but this time a full sized pinup. Unfortunately the commissioner wanted something with more of a focus on Baroness, but the bright side is that I get to draw her again soon!! w00t.
I also had prints of this at Fanexpo last weekend.
Ink & photoshop LE, about 2.5 hours.

Pinup - Huntress Tue, 26 Aug 2008 07:41:10 GMT

Lineart from 2007, finally finished up and polished off for prints at Fanexpo 2008. This is sorta meant to be a retroactive companion to the recent Question piece I've done - though Question was completed first, Huntress was started almost a year earlier. And of course, Helena + Vic = OTP ;)
Ink and photoshop LE. About 2 hours.
